Music of course superb, young women in the pink shirts tireless in bringing much needed water and helpful advice. But the exit at the end was a disaster, and even felt dangerous. Only two exits were open as crowds pushed forward. A surely guard prevented access to a third, marked clearly 'Sortie ', claiming it was only for staff though none used it. I would hate to be trapped here in a true emergency situation
Really nice festival in a great setting. I usually go every summer to see a concert in the open-air theatre, with a view of the medieval city walls. A free glass of wine is usually offered at the end of the concert. Very good atmosphere, well organised.
I attended 2 concerts and I am delighted with the experience. The theater is sublimely beautiful, the stage is magnificent and the acoustics are incredible. I have been to several concert halls across France and I can say that the sound at the Carcassonne festival is absolutely great! In addition, the height of each stand is such that the view of the stage is always clear (unless the people in front stand up). Access was extremely smooth knowing that we showed up barely 5 minutes before the start time of the concert, and that's a real luxury! In the end, very good organization, exceptional setting and superb acoustics! Next year I'm going back and this time for 3 days of concerts!
Very beautiful site, the amphitheater is really well suited to the different shows
Very professional welcome from the hostesses.
Only small downside: you have to indicate the different lines to present the tickets (paper or electronic) this creates a little mess.
Carcassonne🫶❤️💙💙
Incredible memories of a city with a great history that can be felt in every stone, wonderful streets, souvenir shops. And especially our performance on the stage of the amphitheater .... …
If the place is magical, the programming varied and fabulous (the Ballet Bejarts were breathtaking) ... the organization leaves something to be desired ... welcoming and warm staff but not ready at the announced times, not having a mass of responses, cruel lack of communication between the teams and on the site… one announces a shuttle and tells us to find out at the tourist office but there, no one knows about it…. Not very professional. The customer journey is not simple!!!
Finally, square gold place… nice but paying 3€ for ponchos….less nice. So yes they have the merit of being there but they should have been offered... it's not perishable so if it wasn't for this time, you could have used it again! Finally the program for the Carré Or could have been offered... a small elegant gesture which would have been in very good taste! In short… a sublime memory in any case but above all thanks to the Lausanne troupe…. Recruit a project manager!!
The concert venue is very good, very bad rating regarding the toilets, the number is not adapted to the 5000 people, queue of 300 people waiting 1/2 hour to go pee.... and this seems normal to the organizers....
An exceptional place for an astonishing festival, too bad the storms spoiled the party a little. The program is very varied, it offers young artists but also old hands. For a favorite, take your seats in the front rows and you will almost be on stage. A very good evening in July 2018 with Simple Minds
